Individual Mobility Grants

Action III – Individual Mobility Grants – provides a possibility of co-financing projects aimed at:
  • Travel of doctoral students and young researchers (up to 40 years of age) to carry out research studies in research institutions in the donor countries.

NOTE: Where applicants slightly exceed the age limit of 40 years, their applications will not be rejected on the grounds of ineligibility. Please contact the STF Intermediary for more details;

  • Visits of doctoral students and young researchers from the donor countries to carry out research studies in Polish research institutions;
  • Individual study visits of Polish and donor country citizens -representatives of institutions propagating university education (such as Conferences of Rectors, the State Accreditation Committee, Community Accreditation Committee);
  • Individual study visits of representatives of educational institutions in Poland and in the donor countries (active in the primary school sector, vocational sector and adult education sector).

Applicants

The co-funding eligibility within the framework of Measure III - Individual Mobility Grants - can be extended to the following persons:

  • Doctoral students and young researchers (up to 40 years of age) from Poland and the donor countries

  • Representatives of institutions active in the education sector (apart from representatives of colleges/universities involved in the “Mobility Projects”).

Project duration

  • Doctoral students and young researchers from 3 to 12 months,
  • Other persons - visits lasting up to 2 weeks.

Financing principles

Within the framework of Measure III – Individual Mobility Grants – the co-financing may be granted to:

Polish doctoral students and young researchers leaving for a host country:
  • Living expenses - up to EUR 2200 per month
  • Cost of travel - up to EUR 500
  • Insurance costs - during the visit in the host country
  • Institutional costs - up to EUR 1000 per semester (6 months)
Foreign doctoral students and young researchers visiting Poland:
  • Living expenses - up to EUR 1500 per month
  • Cost of travel - up to EUR 500
  • Insurance costs - during the visit in the host country
  • Institutional costs - up to EUR 750 per semester (6 months)
Other persons going to the donor countries:
  • Living expenses - EUR 210 per day or EUR 1050 per week
  • Cost of travel - up to EUR 500
  • Insurance costs - during the visit in the host country
Other persons visiting Poland:
  • Living expenses - EUR 120 per day or EUR 610 per week
  • Cost of travel and insurance - up to EUR 500
  • Insurance costs - during the visit in the host country

The living expenses are the expenses related to the visit in a host country, accommodation, meals and local transport.

Eligible costs:

  • Cost of travel;
  • Living expenses;
  • Insurance costs;
  • Institutional costs payable to the host institution (only for doctoral students and young researchers).

Special conditions are going to be applied with respect to Individual Mobility Grants in Liechtenstein. Considering the limited number of places for scholars in that country, the STF Office will receive information from the partner institution in Liechtenstein about the maximum number of places available under a specific recruitment. The STF Office will match applications that received the highest rating with the available places.
