Measure V – Development of Polish Higher Education Institution – provides
the possibility of co-financing projects aimed at:
- Developing the teaching offer and enhancing the organisational efficiency of Polish HEI;
- Improving the teaching quality at Polish HEI;
- Developing study curricula in foreign languages, in particular in English, offered by Polish HEI.
Activities undertaken as part of particular projects should lead to:
Reform of the Curriculum
The following activities lead to the curriculum reform:
- Development of study curricula in English as the language of instruction;
- Development of joint study curricula (aimed at obtaining the bachelor’s, master’s and doctor’s degree) enabling to obtain a mutual diploma;
- Development of new, innovative study curricula responding to the new requirements and challenges at the domestic or European level;
- Working out new, or significantly changing the existing courses, modules, specialities and study curricula;
- Creating two-step study curricula based on learning results, with the application of the ECTS system embracing the transfer and accumulation of the student’s achievements;
- Developing study curricula in cooperation with the private sector.
Activities undertaken as part of particular projects may also lead to:
Institutional Reform
The institutional reform can be supported by the following activities:
- Development of the Culture of Quality, including the establishment of an internal quality assurance system;
- Strategic partnerships;
- Establishing professional centres for foreign students;
- Cooperation at the university - business level (cooperation enhancement through student traineeship schemes);
- Funds’ acquisition structure.
Applicants
The co-funding eligibility within the framework of the STF Measure V – Development of Polish Higher Education Institutions Projects – can be extended to the following entities:
- Polish HEI - partnership is necessary only for projects aimed at developing joint study curricula. For other types partnership is optional, i.e. a unilateral project can be implemented with the participation of Polish HEI only.
Project duration
The project is estimated to last from 1 to 3 years.
Financing principles
The projects under Measure V - Development of Polish Higher Education Institutions Projects - provide the possibility of receiving from EUR 20,000 up to EUR 250,000 of co-financing for a single project. The co-financing amount granted may not exceed 90% of the total project costs, and the remaining 10% should be ensured by the Applicant from sources other than the STF.
Eligible costs:
- Costs of travel, insurance and living;
- Organisation costs of seminars, workshops, conferences;
- Cost of staff (salaries) - consultancy costs;
- Purchase of teaching equipment up to 30% of the total project costs;
- Developing and printing information and teaching materials;
- Administrative expenses.
Payment of advances and project settlement schedule
For annual projects:
- Advance payment – up to 50% of the total co-financing amount, payable after signing the contract
- Interim payment – up to 40% of the total co-financing amount, payable after accepting the Interim Report;
- Balance payment – minimum 10% of the total co-financing amount, payable after accepting the Final Report.
For 2 and 3 years’ projects:
- Advance payment – up to 40% of the total co-financing amount, payable after signing the contract;
- Interim payment – up to 30% of the total co-financing amount, payable after accepting the first Interim Report;
- Interim payment – up to 20% of the total co-financing amount, payable after accepting the second Interim Report;
- Balance payment – minimum 10% of the total co-financing amount, payable after accepting the Final Report.
