 Centenary of Women's Right to Vote in Norway

In 1913, Norway was the first independent country in the world to introduce universal suffrage for both men and women. 100 years later, gender equality remains a fundamental value and, as such, a pillar of Norwegian society.

On 10 April 2013,  HE Karsten Klepsvik, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Mirosław Marczewski, General Director of the Foundation for the Development of Education System. The visit was related to the beginning of the term of office of the HE Ambassador in Poland. The Ambassador had a chance to see the results and achievements of the educational projects implemented so far within the Scholarship and Training Fund, funded by the Norwegian and EEA Grants in the period 2008 – 2012.

No Hate Speech Movement

The No Hate Speech Movement is a campaign against the expressions of hate speech online in all its forms, including those that most affect young people. The Campaign is part of the project Young People Combating Hate Speech Online running between 2012 and 2014.


1st call for proposals for Preparatory Visits is closed.

Updated results of the call for proposals are available at the website www.fss.org.pl. The results of the formal assessments and FDES Management Board decisions will be published on on-going bases.

Scholarship and Training Fund Activities - Call for Proposal postponed

Please be informed that we have decided to postpone announcing the Call for proposals for Inter-institutional Cooperation and Development for Polish Higher Education Institutions. The Call will be announced in early April and will continue until the end of May. This change will give you an opportunity of implementing the activities under the Preparatory Visits before submitting an application form within the institutional projects.
