Summer schools 2013

The International Summer School (ISS) at the University of Oslo has offered intensive summer courses since 1947. In 2012, the ISS welcomed 585 students from over 90 different countries. The Summer School lasts approx. 6 weeks.

Preparatory Visits - Call for Proposal postponed

Please be informed that due to on-going formal process of consultations under the Project Implementation Agreement we have decided to wait with announcing the Call for proposals for Preparatory Visits until PIA will be signed. The Call will be announced in few weeks - all current information will be given on our webpage.




Annual Report 2011-2012

Financial Mechanism Office in Brussels prepared an Annual Report 2011-2012 presenting the most important issues of EEA and Norway Grants for the next years of implementation. In this year’s elaboration many Polish accents are present. More info on the FMO’s website www.eeagrants.org

"Gender Studies" at Jagiellonian University

Interdisciplinary postgraduate course “Gender Studies” will be run by Sociology Institute at the Jagiellonian University in academic year 2012/2013. The innovative programme program connecting theory and practice was prepared in cooperation with Center for Gender Research at the University of Oslo

First edition of the course in 2009/2010 was financed within Scholarship and Training Fund.

Norwegian Royal Couple launched new FSS

Inauguration of the second edition of Scholarship and Training Fund took place in the Hall of Collegium Novum at Jagiellonian University. Norwegian Royal Couple: the King Harald V and the Queen Sonja as well as Polish President Couple: Anna and Bronisław Komorowscy participated in the celebration.

11 mio € approved in the presence of the King of Norway

During the visit of the Norwegian Royal Couple in Poland an agreement under which Poland will receive 578 mln Euro within the economic cooperation was signed. 11 mln Euro from this amount will supply Scholarship and Training Fund implemented by Foundation for the Development of Education System.

Financial Mechanism of European Economic Area (EEA) and Norwegian Financial Mechanism will co-finance projects reducing economic disparities in Europe and strengthening partnerships between beneficiary countries and Donor States: Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Norway celebrates Constitution Day

On 17th May in each part of the country many parades take place and the biggest one – kids parade - is organised in Oslo. Norwegians dress national costumes, display flags and participate in many festivals. This day the King greets lieges from the  balcony in the royal palace.
